How to Setup Newsly for trading

Setting up NEWSLY is straightforward and can be completed in just 3 simple steps:

  1. Creating a Bybit/Binance Account & Generating API Keys

  2. Connecting Bybit/Binance to Newsly Bot

  3. Configuring Buttons Value, Stop Loss & Take Profit.

Step-by-Step Guide to use Newsly

Interact with the Bot.

On Telegram, search for @NewslyNews_Bot and tap /start.

Account Setup

Follow the on-screen instructions and tap on the "Account" button. You will then be prompted to connect your Ethereum address.

Wallet Authentication

After tapping "Connect Wallet", you'll receive a link. This link allows you to authenticate your Ethereum address with your Telegram account. This ensures you have the necessary $NEWS tokens to use Newsly. Since you're signing a Message and not approving a Transaction, there's no risk to your Ethereum account.

MetaMask Signature and Confirmation

Upon selecting "connect & sign", a MetaMask pop-up will appear, prompting you to sign a message. This action verifies that you own the provided Ethereum address. Keep in mind, signing this message is not the same as confirming a transaction, so it's completely safe and doesn't put your Ethereum assets at risk. Once done, Newsly will promptly send you a confirmation via Telegram, detailing the connected address and the amount of $NEWS tokens in your possession.

Token Requirement

If you're short of the required 10,000 $NEWS tokens, you'll need to acquire more. For guidance on this, please join our community on Telegram.

Assuming you have the right amount of tokens to use the bot, the next step would be to Connect your API Keys.

API Connection

If you're unfamiliar with this process, refer to our guide on "How to Generate API Keys on Bybit or Binance" Proceed only if you've already generated your API keys and:

  • Copy the API ID you generated earlier. Rest assured, our bot will promptly delete the message as soon as you paste it to ensure security.

  • Copy the API secret associated with your account. Similar to the API ID, the bot will delete this message immediately after you paste it.

  • If you've completed these steps accurately, you'll receive a success message, followed by the "Settings" button. Click on this button to configure your trading parameters!

Setting Trading Parameters

Setting the Long/Short Button Value

You might already be familiar with Newsly's long and short buttons. Each of these can be preconfigured with a specific amount to be traded every time you respond to a news event by pressing the button. Keep in mind, pressing a button twice will trade double the pre-set amount. To define this value, navigate to Settings -> Set Long/Short Button Value and enter the desired trade amount for each click.

It's your responsibility to ensure you possess enough margin and balance to successfully execute trades.

Configuring Stop Loss & Take Profit

Given the swift and volatile nature of news trading, we've integrated support for both Stop Loss and Take Profit functionalities. By default, these options are turned off. However, you can easily activate them via the Settings Menu. Please note, both features use percentages and will only apply to newly opened positions.

To view or adjust your trading parameters at any time, simply click the "Settings" button.
