News Profiles allow you to create unique versions of your personal bot for your channels. This feature is great for curating specific news feeds or for sharing with friends, thanks to its flexible filter rules.

Here are some examples of how you can use News Profiles (although certainly not limited to these three):

  1. Set up a channel with notifications on for important news or news you're expecting, like β€œETF”.

  2. Make a channel for exchange activities using specific Sources such as: cngg_transfers and lookonchain.

  3. Add the bot to your alpha/traders chat. This way, you can focus on news from sources like Tree/db/zoomer. Additionally, any Newsly Pro user can long/short their own account, directly from your bot.

Setting Up Your News Profiles

Step 1: Access Filters on your Newsly Pro Bot and choose β€œProfiles”.

Step 2: Tap on β€œAdd Profile” and name it with a suitable descriptor (e.g., β€œCritical Alerts”).

Step 3: click on the "Profile List". This will take you back to the Profiles tab where you can see the News Profile you've just created.

Step 4: By tapping on a News Profile you can then:

  1. Define Profile Filters

  2. Select which Telegram Groups you want to push this Profiles news into.

Start by setting up the filters for your profile.

Step 5: Within Profile Filters, you'll find a familiar filtering menu, specific to the chosen News Profile. For our β€œCritical Alerts” example, add the keywords: β€œnews_of_alpha, tier10k, zoomerfied, etf, sec”.

Step 6: It’s a good idea to create a new Telegram Group for each News Profile. Start by making a new Telegram Group for this News Profile (you could call this one β€˜Newsly Critical Alerts’). You don’t add the bot to the group when creating it.

Once filters are in place, head back to your News Profile and click β€œAdd to New Telegram Group”. Select your desired channel, ensure you have the necessary permissions, and voilΓ ! Your tailored news bot is now live in the channel.

Tips:

  • You can add multiple Profiles to a single Telegram Group.

  • You can disable/enable sending News to groups by deselecting the appropriate Telegram Group on the Profile, so when ETF news is hot again, you can just re-enable this group and you keep all your filtes.

  • For each Telegram Group, you can select a different Notification sound. For critical alerts, it’s probably worth finding an attention grabbing and unique notification sound so you know there are trades to be made!
